OUR BIG WHY
We are excited to tell you about our new project in Laikipia County, Kenya. We are in the process of raising funds to purchase land and a building to begin a Clean Water Bottling Factory and four additional businesses to create more jobs. The high plateau area we serve is semi arid, bordering the arid high desert, making growing crops difficult. Although there are wildlife preserves, these do not provide enough jobs to make the area self sustaining. Not only will this project provide much needed clean water, it will also provide jobs for so many, giving people there a sense of pride and self worth to be able to provide for their families.
Please take this message to heart, put these people in your prayers, commit to pray for them throughout the entire year. Without help they have no hope.
We can’t bring an end to all the suffering around the world. Yet that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do something. We are accountable to act on what we know, use what the Lord has entrusted to us for the greater good, and help our fellow man, woman, and child.
The Kenyan drought crisis deepens placing millions of precious people at risk of starvation. Crops fail after poor rains and locusts, while ethnic conflicts add to crisis. The worst drought in 40 years continues to spread across the Horn of Africa, leaving a trail of barren soil, famine and suffering.
Over 4 million Kenyans are starving and need humanitarian aid. According to Save the Children, at least 942,000 children under the age of five suffer from acute malnutrition, a condition that weakens the immune system placing infants at risk of contracting other diseases or even death.
Children are suffering all over the world, this is where I chose to make a difference. Please take time to remember those who need our help. Pray for them. Give generously to help as often as you can. And stay up to date on what is going on around the world.
